DESIGN BOARDS by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet for Riley Blake

If you have never used a design board, you are missing out on one of the best organizational tools in quilting. They are foam core board covered in batting and bound with cute little prints. I love them for a number of practical reasons:

1. I use them to keep my small blocks organized while assembling, especially if I am doing a lot of assembly line sewing.
2. I LOVE having a place to lay out all my pieces when I am cutting to keep my pieces separated and organized. It makes it easy to see the size and the letter of the piece!
3. I also stack the boards on top of each other after they have the cut pieces on them (to save counter space) It makes for safe and easy storage between sewing sessions.
4. Lastly, It helps keep my many projects organized, and I save time when I am pulling out a specific project to work on. It so easy for parts and pieces to go astray, but here everything stays tidy and together!
